Demaitere bvba was established in 1905, active in metallurgical construction.

Construction of agricultural material was the specialisation in early years.
Later, after the Second World War, production of tow scutching installations was started. 
The first horticultural machines were produced during the 60's, firstly heating installations and later on soil blockers and potting machines.

In the year 2009 the company is directed by the third generation Demaitere (M. Walter Demaitere), assisted by son-in-law M. Ivan Maenhoudt.
An extended range of machines, with brand name "demtec", is produced by 45 employees. These machines are exported worldwide, supported by an own sales service and an international distributors network.
